Toyota

Have you heard? Toyota is thinking about raising the prices of their cars. The reason - so they say - is to help GM and other US car makers. Toyota is said to fear American backlash if GM or Ford go down the tubes because of perceived damage from Toyota.

Let's see here. GM is using around 85% of its production and Toyota is using 107% of theirs. GM is trying to think of any kind of discount they can to sell more GM cars. Toyota is going for sticker price. You may think me untrustworthy here, but could it be Toyota is raising their prices because they are selling more cars now than they can make for whatever they want to charge for them? And by raising their price, they will now only sell as many as they can and make more money on those they sell? Naw, couldn't happen.
